The Best Trá Coffee for Your Favourite Autumn Flavours

Autumn is here

There is something about autumn that makes you want to put the kettle on.

The mornings are colder, the evenings are darker and suddenly cinnamon, caramel, chocolate and baked apple are everywhere.

Luckily, our four coffees have plenty of natural flavours that work beautifully with them.

Here is what we would reach for.

🍫 Chocolate and hazelnut: Brazil

If you love rich, comforting flavours, Brazil is a great place to start.

With chocolate, nutty and caramel notes, it works really well alongside brownies, chocolate cake or anything with a bit of hazelnut.

It is also a great choice for a flat white or cappuccino when you want something smooth and comforting.

Try it with: chocolate cake, brownies or hazelnut pastries.

🍯 Caramel and toffee: El Salvador

Caramel, toffee and autumn seem to go hand in hand.

Our El Salvador has a naturally sweet profile with caramel and milk chocolate notes, making it a lovely match for those richer autumn treats.

Think sticky toffee pudding, banana bread or anything with a good bit of caramel.

Try it with: sticky toffee pudding, banana bread or caramel slices.

🍎 Apple and cinnamon: Colombia

Apple and cinnamon is about as autumnal as it gets.

For this combination, reach for Colombia. Its balanced, sweet character works well with both the fruitiness of apple and the warmth of cinnamon.

It is a great all-rounder too, so you do not need to save it for dessert.

Try it with: apple crumble, cinnamon rolls or apple cake.

🍊 Berries and citrus: Ethiopia

Not all autumn flavours have to be rich and heavy.

If you prefer something brighter, Ethiopia is the one to try. Its fruity, citrus and floral character brings something lighter to the table.

It works particularly well with fruit-based bakes and anything with a bit of citrus.

Try it with: apple tart, berry bakes or orange and dark chocolate cake.

So, which one are you choosing?

Chocolate and hazelnut? Brazil.

Caramel and toffee? El Salvador.

Apple and cinnamon? Colombia.

Berries and citrus? Ethiopia.

There is no right answer, of course. It all comes down to what you like.

But with four very different coffee profiles to choose from, autumn is a pretty good excuse to try something new.

Put the kettle on and see which one becomes your autumn favourite.
