Our Story

Trá Coffee was born from a passion for coffee and family. After years serving in the Irish Army, I set out to build something closer to home. Time spent in Lebanon, Liberia and Chad sparked a deep appreciation for the diversity and character of great coffee.

That curiosity led me to begin sustainably sourcing beans from smallholder farmers and carefully roasting each origin to highlight its unique qualities delivering premium coffee, or as we like to say, happiness in a cup.

A major milestone in our journey. We partnered with local cafés and began supplying our coffee wholesale for the first time. Seeing our coffee served throughout the community allowed us to share our passion for specialty coffee with a wider audience and marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our roastery.

As demand for our coffee grew, so did our ambitions. We upgraded to a bigger and better roaster, allowing us to keep pace with increasing orders and continue sharing our coffee with even more customers and cafés.

When lockdown brought the world to a stop, we embraced a new chapter and launched our online store. This allowed us to continue sharing our passion for specialty coffee, delivering freshly roasted beans directly to customers' doors when they needed it most.

The story is still being written. As we look to the future, we're excited for what comes next and grateful to have such an amazing community along for the ride. Here's to the next chapter, together.
